Your CustomerGauge systems comes equipped with a standard set of self-select reasons (drivers) - but of course you may want to edit these to better suit your organisation.

In order to determine the best self-select reasons for your company, try to place yourself in your customer's shoes: what aspects of your company will your customer experience? Think of moments of contact, types of service, product quality, etc. Try to come up with some main categories first - then you can set up subcategories based on those. Attached you can find a spreadsheet with suggested self-select reasons for different industries.

General tips:

  • Don't get too specific - your self-select reasons should be widely applicable.
  • Keep the self-select reasons short. Especially the primary drivers (main categories) should be a single word or phrase at the most.
  • Don't use more than 5 or 6 primary drivers, and under each primary driver you should not use more than 5 or 6 secondary drivers.
